Window Boxes Save My Concrete Jungle
At last it’s spring time. The time of year when I beautify my backyard, which is not so easy to do. I live in a typical LA home with a very small yard, and my backyard is, well, not much of a yard at all — it’s all concrete. The secret I have found to a colorful and alive-looking urban yard is flower boxes.
I place them around the perimeter of the yard and fill them with an assortment of perennials. I also plant window boxes on the window ledges of the garage and shed. My favorite windowbox is just outside my bedroom window so I can see in from inside.
There are plenty of great ideas at www.windowboxplanters.com on how to give new life, excitement and color to any garden, even my concrete jungle.
